Co-founder Michael McLeod brings visionary thinking grounded in lived experience and a deep commitment to Indigenous economic empowerment. As CEO, Helen Bouropoulos leads with a strong focus on inclusion, strategic growth, and delivering lasting value to clients and communities. Together, they shape a leadership team that blends cultural integrity with commercial excellence, driving Message Stick’s success across government and enterprise. Their combined approach ensures every engagement is guided by trust, accountability, and a commitment to making a real difference.
Michael Mcleod
Michael McLeod is the Co-Founder and Chairman of Message Stick Communications. He is a respected Indigenous business leader and Co-Founder and inaugural Patron of Supply Nation. Drawing on his lived experience and deep commitment to social and economic equity for First Nations peoples, Michael has been instrumental in shaping Australia’s corporate and government policies to Indigenous procurement.
His leadership has not only helped build a nationally recognised Indigenous owned business, but has also influenced broader efforts to improve procurement access and create opportunities for First Nations people through meaningful enterprise and innovation.
Greg Field
Our Board Member and Director Greg, has extensive experience in leadership across governance, public administration, technology, shared services, and finance. He holds a BA (Hons) from Oxford University and is a Fellow of the Institute of Managers and Leaders (FIML) as well as a Fellow of CPA Australia (FCPA). Currently, he is a member and Past President of CPA Australia’s ACT Divisional Council. Greg has also served on various boards and councils, including the Lifeline Australia National Board and the Australian Institute of International Affairs National Council.
Throughout his career, Greg has held senior executive roles in the public, private, and not-for-profit sectors. His roles have included Chief Information Officer at the Federal Department of Industry, Chief Information Officer and Chief Finance Officer at Austrade, Partner at PwC, Managing Partner at Ernst & Young, and General Manager at the Australian Institute of Management.
Helen Bouropoulos
Helen Bouropoulos is the Chief Executive Officer of Message Stick Communications. She brings extensive experience in executive leadership experience across the corporate, government and for-purpose sectors. A strategic operator and values-led leader, Helen is recognised for driving business transformation, operational excellence and impactful stakeholder engagement.
Helen combines commercial acumen with a deep commitment to inclusion, women’s leadership and the advancement of Indigenous business. Under her leadership, Message Stick delivers secure, scalable ICT and modern workplace solutions while forging partnerships that generate sustainable social and economic outcomes for Indigenous communities and the broader economy.
